Fraco Mast Climber Scaffolding Training Enhances Safety and Productivity

March 17, 2025
Time
As part of our ongoing commitment to safety and excellence, we recently completed comprehensive Fraco scaffolding training for our team members.

As part of our ongoing commitment to safety and excellence, we have made significant investments in building out a fleet of Fraco mast climbers. We recently partnered with Fraco and had their best trainer (from England!) to complete a 3 week training course for our team members covering all the different types of units we have. We were blessed to have an amazing trainer, Graham Johnson, who came from England for the full three weeks. He is a wealth of knowledge and was able to give our guys some great examples of projects he has built around the world. One of the most impressive projects he was apart of was a mast climber that was over 1,000 feet tall! Since we have an experienced crew with and a talented access expert in our own Mike Lee, Fraco has granted Mike the ability to train our crews in the future as a certified trainer.

Our investment in Fraco Mast Climbers demonstrate our committment to workplace safety and high productivity.

Comprehensive Training Program

Our multi-week training program was strategically designed to ensure our team has mastered all aspects of Fraco mast climbing work platforms:

Week 1: Installation Mastery
Since most of our guys have been installing Fraco scaffolding for years, training went very smoothly. Our installation specialists received in-depth training on multiple Fraco systems, including ACT8, 20k, and FMC3 units. The training covered both freestanding, mobile and anchored configurations, ensuring our team can adapt to various project requirements and building structures.

Week 2: Maintenance Excellence
The focus shifted to equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. Our shop specialists Dennis and Jeremy acquired valuable skills to maintain our equipment at peak operational efficiency, helping to minimize downtime and ensure reliability on job sites.

During this phase, we included Evan from United Rentals—our trusted equipment maintenance partner—participate in portions of the training to get factory training to be able to troubleshoot and repair any issues that occur in the field.

Week 3: Hoist Installation, Field Troubleshooting and User Training
The third week of training focused on installing FRH4000 hoists and comprehensive operator training for our non-installer crew members across all Fraco units. This way everyone is  properly certified and confident in safely operating this specialized equipment.

Commitment to Excellence

Since 1993, we have been dedicated to providing exceptional masonry building restoration services. Our investment in Fraco mast climber technology and comprehensive training directly supports our dual goals of maximizing workplace safety and enhancing productivity. "Safety and maximum productivity are our constant goals," notes our leadership team. "We are always striving to improve, and our use of Fraco mast climbers helps us advance in both these critical areas." This training initiative exemplifies our commitment to combining traditional craftsmanship with innovative solutions as we continue to deliver the exceptional quality our clients have come to expect.

By ensuring our team has mastered the safe and efficient operation of Fraco scaffolding systems, we can continue to uphold our mission of enhancing the beauty and durability of our community's structures—one brick at a time.
