The Problem

Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust had purchased an existing banking location, but the color scheme of the building was buff colored brick not the red and black brick that that they have at their downtown location.

Bank leadership sought to change the masonry color without the expense and disruption of a complete recladding.

The Solution

As Iowa's only Masonry Cosmetics certified provider, we got right to work using our high-quality masonry staining expertise to transform the bank's appearance. Using our advanced Brick Staining Color Enhancement System, we applied a proprietary blend of mineral oxide pigments with specialized bonding agents that permanently absorbs into and bonds with the brick's clay substrate.

To develop the color match, we took brick that was demoed out of the existing building and took them to their downtown location and developed closely matching colors to this downtown location.

‍

The result is a beautiful building that the color scheme is in congruence with their company brand.

‍

As the staining work completed, a local architect had commented that we sure made quick work of replacing all the brick on the building. He was blown away when he found out the building was stained and the brick didn't have to be replaced.

The updated pictures are 7 years later and the building looks just as good as the day the staining was completed!
