Building Evaluations
At TNT Tuckpointing and Building Restoration, one of our goals is to help you catch masonry structure-related problems before they evolve into expensive and/or emergency repairs.
Though we can perform evaluations as needed, we recommend performing building evaluations at least every (5) five years as preventative maintenance. We use cutting edge technology with aerial observations of your building’s exterior. Using a drone and our licensed drone operator, we’re able to view your building with unique perspective and insight on the condition of the exterior of your building. Through the use of thermal imaging cameras and inspection of openings we can identify problems occurring in your masonry wall systems.
Type of issues we may find include:
- Sealant (caulking) failures
- Failing mortar joints
- Cracked brick due to movement
- Brick/block absorbing too much moisture
- Improper flashings
- Roof leaks or other non-masonry causes
Our Experience and Services
We have performed building evaluations for historical buildings, government buildings, educational facilities, hospitals and care centers and helped building owners not only understand the condition their building is in, but prevented further deterioration of their building, saving them the expenses and headaches that come with in-depth extensive masonry repair or rebuilding.
As part of the services we offer, many of our commercial customers have requested that we develop a larger building-wide budget for them, dividing an entire project into more manageable yearly projects. This way, progress can be made in maintaining the older masonry buildings while still working within yearly budget constraints.
Curious what condition your brick, block or stone building is really in? We can help.
